What is a 3D printed name plate?
A 3D printed name plate is a durable plastic plaque with raised, engraved or two-colour inlaid lettering, made to size for a door, office, desk, letterbox or child’s room. In this generator you type the text (up to 100 characters on five lines, accents included), pick one of 20 fonts or upload your own, choose the plate shape (rectangle, rounded, stadium or ellipse), the edge style and the mounting – holes at the top, in the corners or at the sides, or a keyring loop. The model renders live; the base is at least 1.6 mm thick and lettering at least 0.4 mm, the legibility floor for FDM printing.

Frequently asked questions
Which material for an outdoor door plate?
Choose ASA for outdoors: it is UV-stable and does not fade. Indoors, PLA is the cheapest with the most colours; PETG is a little tougher and more heat-resistant.
How much does a name plate cost?
Designing and downloading the model is free and needs no account. When you click "Get a print quote", your 3MF goes through the same BambuStudio slicer as any uploaded file: the price comes from real material use and print time, the minimum is €4 per model, and no VAT is added. Printing takes 1–3 working days; shipping inside the EU starts at €13.90 and pickup in Slovenia is free. A 120 × 40 mm PLA plate is the kind of part that stays close to the minimum.
Can you print two-colour lettering?
Yes. Pick the inlay mode and two colours; the plate prints in one piece with a filament change, or download the separate-parts ZIP and glue the insert.
Can I use my own font?
Yes – upload a TTF or OTF. The font stays in your browser tab and in the downloaded model; only the final 3MF is uploaded when you order.
