Custom cookie cutters — your shape, 3D printed
A name, a logo, a date, the birthday kid's favourite dinosaur — any outline can become a cookie or fondant cutter. We print them in Slovenia from PLA Pure, a filament certified for food contact, with most cutters costing €4–€6. Upload a file for an instant quote, or send us just a sketch.
Material: PLA Pure · Food-contact certified filament (EU 10/2011) · Most cutters €4–€6 · Final price, no hidden costs
Store-bought cutter sets always stop one shape short of the one you actually need. 3D printing removes that limit: any closed outline — a company logo, a child’s drawing, initials with a wedding date, a mascot — becomes a working cutter with a sharp cutting edge and a comfortable pressing rim. If you already have an STL or 3MF, upload it on the quote page and see the exact price in about 30 seconds. If all you have is an idea or a pencil sketch, send it through our sketch page and we model it for you, with any design fee confirmed upfront.
On food contact we stay honest rather than loud. The PLA Pure filament we print cutters from is certified as a raw material for food contact (EU 10/2011), toy safety (EN 71-3) and low emissions (GREENGUARD) — see our materials list. But every 3D printed part has fine grooves between layers, so a printed cutter is a hand-wash tool for short, dry contact with dough — not dishwasher-safe and not for storing food. Treated like a wooden spoon, it will serve for many baking seasons.
An instant online quote is available for every cutter — upload an STL or 3MF and the exact price appears without waiting.
Material and design details
- Certificates: PLA Pure raw filament: EU 10/2011 (food contact), EN 71-3 (toy safety), GREENGUARD UL 2904 (low emissions). The certificates apply to the material — usage rules for the printed part are in the FAQ below.
- Cutting edge: Tapered to roughly 1 mm at the tip so it cuts dough cleanly, with a wider rim on top for comfortable, even pressing.
- Care: Hand wash in warm soapy water, air dry. Not dishwasher-safe — PLA deforms above ~60°C and the grooves need a brush, not a spray arm.
- Sizes & sets: Typical cutters run 5–12 cm across; larger motifs, cutter-plus-stamp combos and themed sets are all possible — each piece priced by the same formula, from €4.
Occasions and ideas
- →Birthday cookies with a name, an age number, or the birthday kid's favourite animal — the shape no supermarket cutter set has.
- →Wedding cookies: the couple's initials, the wedding date, or a silhouette matching the invitations.
- →Company logo cutters for office events, trade-fair giveaways and client gifts — branded cookies get photographed and shared.
- →Kindergarten and school baking days with shapes tied to the current theme, from planets to dinosaurs.
- →Fondant and marzipan cutters for cake decorators who need a motif in a specific size, not the nearest standard one.
- →Embossing stamps that press a name, logo or pattern into the dough as a matching add-on to the cutter.
- →Seasonal sets — Easter, Halloween, St. Nicholas, Christmas — designed once and reprinted every year.

Cookie cutter questions
Is a 3D printed cookie cutter food-safe?+
We are precise about this. The raw PLA Pure filament we use is certified for food contact (EU 10/2011), toy safety (EN 71-3) and low emissions (GREENGUARD UL 2904). A printed part, however, has fine layer grooves that a dishwasher cannot fully clean, so the honest usage rules are: hand wash with warm soapy water before first use and after each baking session, use it for short, dry contact (cutting dough), and do not put it in the dishwasher or use it for storing food or liquids. Used this way, a printed cutter is a normal, sensible kitchen tool — the same rules apply to wooden spoons and boards.
What do you need from me to make a custom cutter?+
Any of these works: a finished STL/3MF file (upload it on the quote page for an instant price), a logo or drawing as an image file, or just a hand sketch with rough dimensions — send those through our sketch page and we reply with a quote. For text-only cutters, the name and a font preference is enough. Simple outline shapes need no design fee; complex custom modelling gets a small design fee quoted upfront, before anything is printed.
How much does one custom cutter cost?+
A typical cookie cutter weighs 10–25 g, so most land between the €4 minimum and about €6 per piece. Larger motifs, two-part cutter-plus-stamp combos or multi-piece sets cost more simply because there is more material and print time — the quote page shows the exact price the moment you upload a file, with no hidden costs.
How fast can you deliver — I am baking this weekend?+
Cutters are small prints, so we can usually print them within one to two working days of confirming the design, plus shipping — or pickup in Gorica pri Slivnici. If you have a fixed date (birthday, wedding, event), write it in the order notes and we treat it as a hard deadline.
Can you also make embossing stamps or fondant cutters?+
Yes. Embossing stamps press a name, logo or pattern into the dough and pair nicely with a matching outline cutter. Fondant and marzipan cutters are the same idea with a sharper, shallower cutting edge — tell us what you are cutting and we adapt the edge geometry accordingly.
