What is an AI 3D model generator?
An AI 3D model generator turns a photo of an object into a printable 3D model. Your photo is downscaled to 1024 pixels inside the browser and sent to our own RTX 5080 machine – or, when it is unavailable, to the Meshy cloud service – which builds the mesh in roughly one to three minutes. The result is then prepared for printing automatically: we try to close holes, refuse meshes over 250,000 triangles and set the model on the bed; on our own machine we also drop stray fragments, simplify to roughly 120,000 triangles, rotate the model onto its most stable face and optionally flatten the bottom. It opens in the same quote flow as any uploaded STL or 3MF, where the real BambuStudio slicer prices it from actual filament use and print time. We do not sell the file and it is not part of the purchase – what you order is the printed object.

Frequently asked questions
Do I get the STL file?
No. The file is not part of the purchase: the model stays with us and we print it for you – generating is free and printing is what we sell. If you need the file itself, order custom 3D modelling through the sketch form.
What if the result is not good?
Generate another variant with a new random seed or a different photo; every generation counts against the five-per-day limit. If the model is nearly right, add manual cleanup for €25 at checkout and we repair the mesh by hand before printing. For something completely different, send us a sketch.
How much does it cost to print an AI-generated model?
Generating is free. Printing is priced exactly like any uploaded file: the cost comes from real filament use and print time, the minimum is €4 per model and no VAT is added. Shipping inside the EU starts at €13.90 and pickup in Slovenia is free.
Which photos work best?
A single object on a calm background, evenly lit and shot slightly from above so three sides are visible. Shiny, transparent and very thin objects are the hardest for the AI; group photos and screenshots rarely work.
How many models can I make per day?
Five per day per browser and IP address. The counter resets at midnight (Ljubljana time) and is shown next to the generate button. The limit exists because every generation occupies our graphics card; ordering prints is not limited.
Can I change the size?
Yes. Set the longest side between 10 and 325 mm in the studio; the default is 80 mm. The size travels into the quote and changes the price, because a bigger model uses more filament and print time.
